Top eights qualified for super twelve in T-20 World-Cup 2020. According to the new law of ICC, a team had to be in top eight positions to qualify for super twelve directly in T-20 World-Cup, 2020. But another four teams will pass the qualifying round.
A three-time finalist Sri Lanka is in ninth position in the ranking, so they have to play qualifying round. Unfortunately, this Asian giant belongs to this position with 87 rating.
Bangladesh couldn’t play directly both in the 2014 and 2016. As they are in the 10th position in the ranking with 77 rating. They have to play qualifying round in 2020 too.
In 2018 Bangladesh played 16 T-20 matches which are record number for a calendar year. But they won only 5 and lost the rest. They lost every tournament except the Windies tour on August. The most shameful was being whitewashed to Afghanistan.
On the other hand, Afghanistan has a wonderful rise in the reign of cricket. As they couldn’t qualify in 2014. In 2016 they qualified for the super ten. But surprisingly they are in the eighth position in the ranking. So they have the good news to be the direct qualified for T-20 world cup 2020.
