Kiwi batsman, Tom Latham is going to lead New Zealand in unofficial ODI for the sake of World Cup. New Zealand declared World Cup squad under Tom Latham’s captaincy. Accordingly, the team will be in three 50 overs match on the name of New Zealand XI against Australia XI for the sake of upcoming ICC World Cup-19.

Apart from the nine players signed by the various IPL, Ross Taylor will be busy with his County commitments with Nottinghamshire. Apart from Latham, James Neesham, Henry Nicholls, Matt Henry, and Tom Blundell will be the other World Cup-bound players, will be playing the ODIs in Australia.

Accordingly, The squad can be the backups for the ICC World Cup-19. In case injury plays a part before or during the course of the tournament. The likes of Tim Seifert, Corey Anderson and Adam Milne who are in injury problem and have not been considered. Doug Bracewell and Todd Astle, both of whom narrowly missed the cut for the world cup.  They will be playing in the three-match series. The games will be at the Allan Border Fields, on May 5, 7 and 9.
