Man of the match
David Miller, “Yeah I’m very happy about that, it got tight in the end, but the guys pulled through and did incredibly well. It was enjoyable to finish the innings. The first two balls came off, and I just carried on in the last over. We started poorly with the ball, but credit to the bowlers for bringing us back into the game.”
“We were a little too wide and short, but Shamsi brought the run-rate down and Sipamla was fantastic on debut. The guys at the back-end held their nerve well too which was amazing. I thought I was the worst captain on the planet – it was hard. The two openers were violent, but our bowlers did really well to pull things back. Really happy and chuffed that we didn’t leave it till the last game.”
Finally, South Africa won by 7 runs and the 3 matches t-20 series by 2-1 against Pakistan. Losing both test and ODI Pakistan lost the last chance of losing the t-20 series. Hope they’ll try to escape from being white-washed in t-20 too.
