New Zealand beats India by 80 runs and leads t-20 series by 1-0. Kiwi opener Tim Seifert scored a destructive inning of 84 runs off 43 deliveries and bags the man of the match title.

New Zealand had to bat first as they lost the toss. Two openers made 86 runs from only 8.2 overs. Though Colin Munro became a pickup to Krunal Pandya, scoring 34 runs off 20 balls with a couple of fours and sixes. But another opener Tim Seifert made a storm on Indian bowlers and picked 84 runs from only 43 balls with 7 fours and 6 sixes that brought the man of the match title.

Then Captain Kane Williamson made 34 runs from 22 balls with 3 sixes before Yuzvendra Chahal sent him back. By the early pickup of Daryl Mitchell and Collin de Grandhomme, New Zealand was in doubt of scoring a double hundred.

But Scott Kuggeleijn scored an unbeatable inning of 20 runs from only 7 balls with 3 fours and a six and New Zealand got a fighting score of 219 runs from 20 overs. Hardik Pandya got a couple of wickets for 51 runs. Each Bhubaneshwar Kumar, Khaleel Ahmed, Kunal Pandya, and Yuzvendra Chahal picked a wicket for India.

India had to fight for a huge score of 220 runs but lost their opener Rohit Sharma by 18 runs on the scoreboard. Then Shikhar Dhawan and Vijay Sankar brought 33 runs before Shikhar Dhawan surrendered to Lockie Ferguson, scoring 29 runs from 18 balls with a couple of fours and 3 sixes.

Then Vijay Shankar also disappointed by scoring 27 runs from 18 balls with a couple of fours and sixes. As MS Dhoni scored highest 39 runs from 31 balls with 5 fours and a six before Tim Southee sent him back and Kunal Pandya scored 20 runs. But none of the batsmen can steer the team.
