Maxwell said “No” to IPL

Almost every Aussie cricketer have a dream to be in the test. Though we know him as a player of short format he is not different from his teammates. Maxwell wants to be regular in test cricket. So this hard heater all-rounder decided not to attend in IPL in this season.

Maxwell will prepare himself in English County instead of IPL. He will perform for Lancashire in the whole season in three formats. This hard heater of thirty years was inducted in test five years ago but played only seven tests in his career. But at this time he played 87 ODI and 57 T-20s. Even he played the last test against Bangladesh last year. Maybe, after that, he is avoided from the test. He may be sad to be a spectator in the Australia-India test series.

So Maxwell decided to skip this tournament of lots of money. But this decision was not so easy especially in this age of T-20. Maxwell said, “This was a hard decision. But I had to. Still, I want to playtest. And so the decision of not playing IPL this season was not easy. But not to be in test burns my heart. Of course, I want to come back in the team and believe that I’ve got the ability to give many things to Australia test team.”
