Kapil Dev, Mohammad Azharuddin, Rahul Dravid or MS Dhoni, none of the Indian captains couldn’t break the sealed lock. Though Saurav Ganguli reached closer on 2003-04 but failed. But the captain of new era Virat Kohli breaks the Aussie fort. Then came another step forward to the all-time best Indian captain.

As Sydney drawn and India was leading the series to 2-1. So they own the Boarder-Gavaskar trophy 2018-19. India’s huge score of 622 peddled Australia to follow on at home after 31 years.

As Australia came to batting their second inning and picked 6 runs. The weather came to them as Godsend things. Otherwise, the difference could be 3-1.

Indians well performed with bat and ball. Pujara missed double century for 7 runs and Rishabh Pant scored 159 runs. Spinner Kuldip Yadav picked 5 wickets for 99 runs.

Naturally, Kohli is very excited about this victory. He mentioned as his best achievement, “Firstly I want to say, I’ve never been more proud of a team than this one. The culture we’ve been able to build over the last 12 months. Our transition started here when I became the captain for the first time. Only one word to say, I’m proud. To lead these players is an honor and a privilege. They make the captain look good. Definitely, deserve to enjoy this moment. By far this is my best achievement. Has to be on top of the pile. Agarwal too. To come in on Boxing Day and play like that against a high-quality attack in their conditions speaks volumes of the belief he has. Someone like Rishabh as well, coming into his own and dominating attacks is something that augurs well for the team”
