India is reigning on Sydney too

India is reigning on Sydney too. India climbed a huge score on the Cheteshwar Pujara and Rishabh Pant’s bat. They picked 622 runs from 7 wickets before declaring. Australia will bat the third day from 24 for no loss.

As Pujara missed his double century for 7 runs. He made a mistake to play a straight shot and get caught to Layon to his delivery. But he made another record. Herbart Sutcliff faced 1,237 balls Ashes on the 1928-29 season. But this Indian broke this 90 years old record playing 20 balls more than this Englishman. He faced 1,257 balls in Border-Gavaskar trophy. Which may console The Rahul Dravid of the new era for missing the double century.

On the other hand, Rishabh Pant scored another master class innings. He picked 159 runs as the seventh batsman. He came to the wicket after Honuma Bihari (42). But Rishabh Pant becomes the first wicket keeper batsman who had a century in Australia.

Ravindra Jadeja scored 81 runs from 114 balls before get bold to Layon. Rishabh Pant and Ravindra Jadeja partnership contributed 204 runs to huge score. That makes the Aussie batsman on serious trouble.

Top Aussie bowlers didn’t well in Sydney. First four bowlers wasted more than a hundred runs. Though Layon picked four wickets it costs 178 runs. Josh Hazlewood picked two wickets.

It’s sure that team India is reigning on Sydney too. But Australia is not for losing the test on the third day. So hopefully they will come back on the third day.
