Alzarri Joseph the Windies young-star became only the second bowler in IPL history to claim a fifer on debut, after Andrew Tye. He not only went on to register the best bowling figures for three-time champions Mumbai but also re-wrote the record for the tournament’s best figures – surpassing, Pakistani superstar Sohail Tanveer’s 6 for 14 in the first season of IPL.

The rising star claimed it as unbelievable for him, “It’s unbelievable. It’s a dream start. I don’t think it could get any better. I just wanted to bowl to the plans. When they said I was playing, I decided to keep it simple and back myself.”

Alzarri Joseph described his feelings, taking the first wicket in IPL-19 on his debut match. “When I got my first wicket, I  muted celebration, since I focused on the game that we had to win. The boys are really playing well, so all we need to do is go to the park and show them what we can do”

The 22 years Old Windies pacer set his dream for IPL in Mumbai Indians jersey. “My aim is to do my best to win games for my team. I play for wins, not for the limelight. It’s a good feeling, but I want to win this tournament, not just personal performances.”

Finally, Bhubaneshwar Kumar, the Sunrisers Hyderabad Captain didn’t lose his hopes and asserted to return back. “After having a good start, we couldn’t really capitalize. It was a damp and slow wicket, it wasn’t easy for the batsmen. We didn’t have any partnerships and couldn’t apply ourselves after the first wicket.”
