Winning by four wickets against Perth Scorchers, Hobart Hurricane ripened their position on the top of the point table of Big Bash League. Scoring a stormy inning of 69 runs, experienced George Bailey won the man of the match title.

Losing the toss Hobart Hurricane came to bat first. James Faulkner sent two openers Cameron Bancroft and Michael Klinger back to the pavilion on the first over of their inning. Then Perth Scorchers Captain Ashton Turner became another pickup of James Faulkner.
Losing three wickets by 7 runs Perth Scorchers were under pressure, then Sam Whiteman and Hilton Cartwright picked 77 runs before Arcy Short got Hilton Cartwright’s (29) wicket. Then Aron Hardy and William Boisisto failed also.

Third batsman Caleb Paul Jewell scored a stormy 32 runs from 20 balls before got beaten to Aron Hardie by 55 runs. Ben McDermott and George Bailey made 38 runs before Usman Qadir picked Ben McDermott for 16 runs.
