Comilla Victorians beat Rangpur Riders and steps on the finale first of BPL-19. Evin Lewis won the man of the match title for his destructive inning.

Winning the toss Rangpur Riders Captain Mashrafe Mortaza opted to bat first. As opener Mehedi Maruf became a pickup to Wahab Riaz at 17 runs on the scoreboard. Wicket-keeper batsman Mohammad Mithun came on the third position but survived for 3 runs before trapped in run-out.

But Rilee Roussouw made 33 runs with Caribbean batting monster Chris Gayle. Though scoring 46 runs from 44 balls with 6 fours and a six Chris Gayle became a pickup to Mehedi Hasan. Then Ravi Bopara couldn’t steer the score well. But Rilee Rossouw scored 44 runs from 31 balls with 4 fours and couple of sixes before Saifuddin sent him back.

A stormy unbeatable inning of 53 runs off 28 balls only with 3 fours and 5 sixes, Benny Howell brought Rangpur Riders a fighting score of 165 runs losing 5 wickets after 20 overs.

Each Mohammad Saifuddin, Mehedi Hasan Wahab Riaz, and Sanjit Saha picked a wicket. That actually proves the team-work and the professionalism of the Comilla Victorians bowlers.

Comilla Victorians started well but lost dashing opener Tamim Iqbal to Mashrafe Mortaza by 35 runs on the scoreboard, scoring 17 runs from 14 balls with a four and a six. Then another opener Evin Lewis made 90 runs partnership with wicket-keeper batsman Anamul Haque on the second wicket partnership.

As scoring 39 runs from 32 balls with a couple of fours and sixes Anamul Haque surrendered to Shafiul Islam at 125 runs on the scoreboard. But that was the last achievement of Rangpur Riders bowlers. Evin Lewis reached the target with Shamsur Rahman.

Evin Lewis scored unbeatable inning of 71 runs off 53 balls with 5 fours and 3 sixes. Shamsur Rahman scored 34 runs from 15 balls only with 4 fours and couple of sixes and companied the opener as well. Comilla Victorians reached the target with 7 balls in hand.
