All-rounder Shakib AL Hasan ruled out from the New Zealand series for injury, got on the final match of BPL-19. As the timing of the recovery will answer if Shakib Al Hasan could join the test series or not?
Injured on the finger
Shakib Al Hasan ruled out for this reason. As he missed the New Zealand flight. But BCB expecting his safe return before test series. Last night on the final match of BPL-19, a delivery from Thisara Perera on the 11th over, Shakib got hit on the glove for miss-timing, trying to pull.
After the match, Shakib Al Hasan found a fracture on his figure on X-ray report. As BCB officials don’t state something officially. But he’s to be outside of the cricket for a month minimum.
This isn’t the same finger that was operated in September last year. Shakib Al Hasan has recovered from the accumulated in his finger and made a comeback to cricket in the Test series against the Windies at home in November. As he went on to make his ODI return against the same opposition in the limited-overs series that followed soon after.
As first ODI came to the light on 13th of February, Naturally, Shakib Al Hasan will miss the ODI. The first test will start on the 28th of February. Hope Shakib Al Hasan reaches the test as captain on the middle of the tour. But his return depends on his recovery.

“An x-ray was done after the match and the results have confirmed a fracture on the left ring finger. The affected area will now have to be immobilized for around three weeks,”
Though Shakib Al Hasan missed the first flight for New Zealand with another teammate for BPL-19 final. He was scheduled for the flying on the next flight with ODI captain Mashrafe Mortaza, Mohammad Saifuddin, Tamim Iqbal, and Rubel Hossain. But this bad news dropped the test and t-20 captain from the squad.
Therefore, All-rounder Shakib AL Hasan ruled out from the New Zealand series for injury. Hope he will come back soon by the test series.
